Motocross Madness 2 (Fix for Windows 10)

There is numerous workarounds for Motocross Madness 2 on the net but some may or may not work with Windows 10.  I find those with a legit copy if the game like myself will probably have the most issues.  For some reason the games main executable has issues running on Windows 10.  This issue maybe cause of a recent update that has stopped the usage of some DRM's.  So the easy way to fix this game is a few things.

First off your going to need to download D3DRM.DLL.  Its a Direct X file which is not available out of the box on Windows 10 and without it the game will not run.  Just copy and paste that to the root of the installation folder.

Download available here: http://www.driverskit.com/getdllfile/d3drm.dll/494.html

The next thing your going to need to get is a no-cd patch.  I can't give out links to this do to piracy.  You should be able to find a patch with Google.  Reason being is as said the original .exe file doesn't work.  I tried playing the game with the original file with the D3DRM.DLL file and it still didn't run.

Next your going to want to set the compatibility mode for the game to Windows XP SP3 and click Run this program as an Administrator.

How about some a few pics of the game

  1. I managed to install the game and it's fully operational in Windows 10 1803 x64. How I did it...
    1. I installed in a virtual machine windows xp x64
    2. I installed the InstallRite Software
    3. I installed the Game
    4. With the InstallRite I created a new Installer for The Game which I tested in Windows 10 x64 (My Physical Computer)... all worked perfectly!
